Ab-strakt is a word play of Ab (Weegenaar) and abstract (a part of the playing mechanism of the organ). The abstracts form the mechanical connection between the keys and the valves under the organ pipes. These are the so called “muscles” of the organ.
Ab Weegenaar hopes that his activities will form the “muscles” (connection) between his pupils, his public, his choirs and music in general.
